The Bare Scientist #6

🍕It’s that time again where we hand over to The Bare Scientist!

I had some tasty Indian food last week and was thinking of what pizza I could do next seeing as over 1000 people generously liked my last pizza post and it was featured on @worldwideveganfood 😱😃❤️ *thank you*

This pizza is practically inspired by aloo saag and dhal dishes that I am very familiar with and love! Base: green lentils blended with garam masala, cardamom, chilli, clove, coriander, cumin, bay leaf, caraway, aniseed, salt, turmeric Sauce: caramelised onion hummus (warned you all about this sneaking into some pics) Toppings: red onions, wilted spinach, coriander, shaved potatoes, tomatoes….. oh my goodness the kitchen smells divine!!!

Recipe

Pizza base:

1 cup of green lentils to 1 cup of water

Make a mixture of the following in a bowl:

1 tsp each of: garam masala, cumin, chilli powder, turmeric, ground coriander, a pinch of salt, caraway, clove, cumin and one bay leaf

Take 2 tsp of the blend and mix with a little water to form a basic curry paste.

Blend the rest of the dry mix with the lentils and water until a smooth batter is formed.

Sauce and toppings:

Base the pizza with caramelised onion hummus

Slice new potatoes into thin coins and parboil for 5 minutes. Wilt spinach for 2 minutes. Slice tomatoes and add all three to the mixed curry paste. Top onto the pizza and add sliced red onions and chopped coriander.

Bake on Gas Mark 6 for approximately 20 minutes.

Thank you very much to The Bare Scientist.
