We are back with our weekly updates from our in house agony aunt ‘Aunty Fabulous’ to hear some positive quotes from her latest book, ‘Fabulous Impact Step Into The New You & Rewrite Your Own Script By Nicci Roscoe.’
Boosting Your Positive Energy
Do something you love that will boost your energy:
Meet friends – meet up with like-mind positive friends and have a night of karaoke. Singing is a fabulous energy booster. Or have lunch, tea or dinner with friends who make you feel good.
Go to the movies – see an action-packed movie to inspire you.
Exercise – join an exercise class or go for a jog around the park.
Eat something healthy – have a vegetable juice or fruit or smoothie to give yourself an extra boost.
Affirm – tell yourself “I am taking action to feel the ‘buzz’ of pure positive energy”
If you were unable to think of any of the Positive Energy Boosters you may want to reconsider the way you feel and how you look at energy physically and mentally in your life.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety you may have?
Do you immerse yourself in work to the exclusion of everyone else?
Do you indulge in unhealthy eating habits that can be a quick fix for short term pleasure and comfort?
Or have you found a way to release these tensions through physical and mental exercise?
Friends and clients often tell me they are exhausted and have no energy. They tell me that they have no time to exercise and no time to eat healthily because they are too busy either working or dealing with life’s pressures.
Our friend was in the middle of a traumatic personal change in her life and completely stopped taking care of herself. She could not look after her son and daughter and told me she had lost control over everything. I asked her “Do you want to have control or do you want to be a victim?”
We all have the power within us mentally to find the energy to be in control of our own thoughts and what we do. It is our choice and no one else’s. We are all travelling through various scene of our film reels and occasionally the wrong scene may come up. It is during those moments that we can hit the edit button and change the scene.
In these negative moments and times when you feel overwhelmed, remember that it is your reaction, your positive response and how you choose to handle these situations that can make a difference and have a great impact on your life.
“Life’s not about how hard of a hit you can give- it’s about how many you can take, and still keep moving forward” – Sylvester Stallone, Rocky Balboa”
Having the right balance is key to your mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Knowing how to cope with everyday stresses and challenges and lightening up on minor issues can help you to be less sensitive about things that just aren’t important.
