A few days ago I was feeling rather sluggish perhaps my newborn teething and being up half of the night had something to do with it. I was all set to meet up with my great PR contact Debbie Schogger who always brings me the ‘best goodies’ to review (even good enough for royalty). I knew I would have something fantastic to try that night.
When I got in from watching Dream Girls at the Savoy Theatre late at night my skin literally ‘drank’ the bottle, it felt so good. The instructions say 2-3 pumps but that usually means 23 to me, I lathered my skin with it after my bath and it looked as if it was glistening, it felt extremely soft. You can also use it underneath your make up in the morning if you want to shine all day long. Three days later my skin feels brand new Sleep Elixir has been added to my must have’s for my daily beauty routine now.
Simply put a dash on at night and watch as your skin radiates in the morning, or use it as a primer under your makeup.
Despite the celebrity status, the oil itself is amazing as it is packed with a natural blend of 14 plant-based oils, including a Caribbean coral extract which is a powerful anti-inflammatory as it neutralises the enzyme responsible for skin ageing, plus a sandalwood nut kernel oil to help prevent collagen and elastin break down. These are then combined with a generous amount of camellia oil, chia seed oil, bitter cherry seed oil, strawberry seed oil, pomegranate seed oil, blueberry seed oil, cranberry seed oil, raspberry seed oil, seabuckthorn fruit berry oil, sandalwood oil, lavender herb oil, geranium flower oil, neroli flower oil and caprictrglyceride from coconut.
The whole purpose for the mixture of the carefully chosen oils, and years or research, is to tackle ‘inflammaging’ – a condition where your skin ages due to inflammation over a period of time. This can be caused by everyday exposure to sun and pollution, over exfoliation, or simply using the wrong skin products for your skin. Beuti founder Leila Aalam goes on to explain,
“This breaks down the barrier function of the skin causing the onset of ‘inflammaging’ and visible skin ageing. It is important we renew and repair the skin by using organic oils which can help to reverse the damage.”
